Founders Scholarship Fund

The SCBC has historically provided funds to the Biology Department at California State University at Fullerton to be used by graduate students conducting research on the Western Bluebird.

Soon after the Founders Fund was established in 2020 in memory of SCBC founder, Sully Reallon, Lara Tseng became the first recipient of the Fund. Lara studied eggshell consumption during the Western Bluebird breeding season. Her project collected data from 65 nest boxes in Orange County. SCBC nest box monitors participated in the project by collecting data.
